Think studio photography is unnatural and old-fashioned?

I hear you! As beautiful as old-school portraiture can be, if it sounds like a nightmare trying to get your children to sit still and pose, then perhaps it’s not for you.

However, that doesn’t mean that a studio shoot is out of the question…

My studio space is designed less like the photography studio you might imagine and more like a little apartment so you and your family can relax and be yourselves.

With the appeal of convenient facilities immediately on-hand such as a baby-changing area, a loo, a screen if you would prefer a little privacy when breastfeeding and a comfy sofa for everyone to pile onto, you can feel pretty much ‘at home’ without any of the pressures or impracticalities of a traditional studio or a shoot in your own home or outdoor location.

We’ll move gently into taking photos as your children discover the wooden studio toys, chill out with a book on the bed, sleep in the crib or sit by the fireplace. I’ll gently guide you around the space to elicit some natural interaction and expressions whilst also creating a few of those more classic portraits with individuals and different combinations. I’ll be looking for flattering angles as you enjoy time with your children. We can pop some music on, blow bubbles, read a story or we’ll just get you having a big family hug! I can even film little clips too!
